A Camp With a Cause
OUR MISSION: to teach campers to “pay it forward” by serving the community and the less-fortunate while having fun
CARE Camp is an extraordinary life changing experience for young campers where they'll have the time of their lives while they learn more about the message of Jesus Christ. The Bible teaches us that Jesus came to serve, not to be served. Care Camp focuses on teaching campers the rewards of serving the community and the less fortunate. We are located at 7800 NW 39th Street, Sunrise FL 33351. Most of the the indoor camp activities focus on projects that serve the community:
Beads4Missions- handmade jewelry. All profits go to funding education and meals to poor children in impoverished areas of Haiti, Colombia and Dominican Republic.
Fill-a-Backpack- backpack drive for under privileged kids of third world countries. Backpacks are filled with school supplies and then shipped off to impoverished areas of Colombia and Haiti.
Clothes Drive- Campers are encouraged to donate, sort and pack gently worn clothes for underprivileged kids.
Christmas in July- Toy drive for children of low to no- income-families in impoverished neighborhoods of Cartagena, Colombia.
Tees4Missions- Campers will design their own tie-die t-shirts and donate them to needy children in third world countries.
Flip-Flops-4-A-Friend- Campers will decorate flip flops and they will be donated to underprivileged children in shelters.
Pictures4Patients- Campers will decorate picture frames and donate to hospital patients that are terminally-ill.
Camp Info:
- June 13 - August 19
- Camp hours: Mon-Fri 9am - 5pm (campers may be dropped off as early as 7:30am and can be picked up as late as 6:30pm at no additional cost)
- $125 weekly (due every Monday) Includes all activities and field trips
- $35 NON-REFUNDABLE registration fee (includes 2 t-shirts)
- Campers must bring their own lunch and snacks
- Multi-child special rates: 2 kids @$110 each, 3 kids or more @$100 each
Age Groups:
- 5-7
- 8-10
- 11-13
Field Trips:
Swimming at pool parks once a week and trips to the park once a week
Every Friday campers will go on a special field trip:
AMC Movies (new summer movies- Finding Dory, The Secret Life of Pets, Ice Age)
